a survey of the harbour without delay. If it is not found

practicable to employ on this survey the two qualifiol officers

who aro already in the Government servico, it will be necessary

Port Development sub department.

contractors of world wide repute.

in hand only ono constructional work; and this will bo finished

by the end of the yoar. All that will remain i 11 bo

ma in to na ncc work. For this a staff of one onginoer and two

overзoors is considorod sufficient. The remaining posts of

oxo cu ti vo onginoor, two onginocrs, and throo overseers shoull

bo abolisho. The cnginoor in charge of the reduced Port

Devolopment sub dopartment shoull be at the disposal of the

nowly constitutol Harbour Board.
